Je pratique la photographie depuis une trentaine d’années. Après avoir été attiré par le dessin et la peinture que j’ai étudiés à l’école des Beaux Arts de Blois, la rencontre avec Marc RIBOUD détermina et confirma pour moi le choix de la photographie. Mon premier stage fut avec Bernard DESCAMPS puis à Arles avec Françoise HUGUIER. J’ai ensuite effectué une formation à NIMES à l’école IMAGE OUVERTE chez serge GALL. Cette pratique ne me quitte plus depuis. Je reste fidèle à l’argentique et je me considère proche des photographes historiques ( André KERTESZ, Marc RIBOUD , Willy RONIS ). Fort de cet héritage et sans être passéiste, je pense que l’on peut être de plein pied dans le présent avec encore ce regard humaniste.

I've been practicing photography for about thirty years. After being drawn to drawing and painting, which I studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Blois, meeting Marc Riboud determined and confirmed my choice of photography. My first internship was with Bernard Descamps, then in Arles with Françoise Huguier. I then completed a training course in Nîmes at the IMAGE OUVERTE school with Serge GALL. This practice has remained with me ever since. I remain faithful to film photography and consider myself close to historical photographers (André Kertesz, Marc Riboud, Willy Ronis). Drawing on this heritage and without being a believer in the past, I believe we can be fully immersed in the present while still maintaining this humanist perspective.
